A sudden wave of alleged Sasquatch sightings in northeast Ohio has stirred curiosity among cryptid enthusiasts and social media followers alike. Over just four days, several witnesses claimed to encounter towering figures deep in wooded areas near Cleveland, triggering speculation that the region may be experiencing what believers call a “flap.”

The reports, shared by the Bigfoot Society podcast and its online community, describe multiple sightings of large, mysterious creatures near Mantua and Garrettsville, two rural areas southeast of the city.

While no confirmed evidence has surfaced, the unusual cluster of reports has sparked debate among Bigfoot followers and skeptics alike.

According to the Bigfoot Society, six separate eyewitness reports were submitted between March 6 and March 10. The accounts all originated from wooded regions in Portage County, an area known for its forests and wildlife.

• March 6: A witness reported spotting a brown figure believed to be roughly nine feet tall.
• March 7: Another observer described an eight-foot-tall brown figure, along with large footprints and deep “grunts.”
• March 9: One witness claimed to see a black figure around eight feet tall.
• March 9: A separate report described a black figure about ten feet tall, allegedly accompanied by a strong musky odor.
• March 9: Another person reported seeing a brown figure around six feet tall through a window from roughly 100 feet away.
• March 10: A final report described a towering “large black shadow” estimated to be between eight and ten feet tall, which the witness said did not resemble a bear.

Together, the descriptions paint a picture of massive creatures moving through wooded corridors in the region.

Meanwhile, the Bigfoot Society’s social media posts encouraged residents in the area to remain attentive to unusual activity. Members of the online group, which includes hundreds of thousands of followers, discussed the possibility that something could be moving through forested pathways in the region.

One message shared with followers offered a cautionary note.

“So, if you’re in this area, keep your eyes open and maybe your doors locked because there could be a Bigfoot in the same general vicinity.” said one poster in the group, which has 282,000 members.

The message quickly gained attention among Bigfoot hunters and curious locals alike.

Enthusiasts Claim Close Encounters

In addition to the initial reports, several community members claimed they had particularly intense experiences during the same time period.

According to posts circulating in the group, some Bigfoot hunters said they had “locked eyes with a nine-foot-tall, brown-haired Sasquatch.”

Despite the excitement among enthusiasts, no photos, videos, or physical evidence connected to the sightings have been released publicly.

Still, the rapid series of reports has energized members of the Bigfoot research community. For longtime believers, a sudden cluster of sightings is considered a rare and thrilling event.

Jeremiah Byron described the reaction among followers as intense and enthusiastic.

“The Bigfoot community is extremely excited because we thought we’d never live through anything like this again where there’s a massive amount of sightings in such a short amount of time,” Byron told.

Whether the sightings represent misidentified wildlife, imagination, or something more mysterious remains unclear. For now, however, the stories continue to spread across social media, fueling fascination with one of America’s most enduring legends.
