U.S. Soccer has officially revealed its latest stars and stripes kits, offering a fresh yet familiar look as anticipation builds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Created in collaboration with Nike, the new uniforms blend heritage inspiration with modern performance, aiming to energize both players and fans ahead of one of the biggest tournaments on home soil.
New Kits Signal Start Of World Cup Era

The collection introduces two primary jerseys built around the iconic stars and stripes theme, along with a redesigned goalkeeper uniform. The United States men’s national soccer team is expected to debut the kits later this month in Atlanta, marking the first public appearance of the new design on the pitch.
Meanwhile, excitement continues to grow as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, with matches set across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Players Help Shape Performance Driven Design
This time, the design process went far beyond the drawing board. Nike worked closely with players, gathering feedback on fabric weight, seam placement, breathability, and mobility.
As a result, the final product is built not just for style but for elite-level performance. Players can move freely, stay cool under pressure, and focus entirely on the game.
Jersey Carries Deeper Meaning For Team And Fans
However, the redesign is not only about performance. It also carries a deeper emotional connection. As Dave Wright, chief commercial officer of U.S. Soccer, said:
“A national team jersey represents the pride of wearing the crest, not just for players on the field, but also for the fans who support them every step of the way,”
Inside each jersey, a hidden “Inner Pride” mark sits within the collar, symbolizing the motivation players carry onto the field. In addition, U.S. Soccer introduced exclusive Stars and Stripes typefaces, designed specifically for future kits and branding.
Star Names Lead High Profile Launch Campaign
To bring the launch to life, several prominent players featured in the campaign. Among them were Haji Wright, Diego Luna, Folarin Balogun, Alyssa Thompson, and Rose Lavelle.
That said, this is only the beginning. Both the men’s and women’s teams are expected to continue working with Nike as preparations extend toward the 2028 Olympic Games.
Fans Can Buy Jerseys Before Tournament Kickoff
Fans will soon be able to purchase the new kits in two versions. The authentic match version features the same advanced technology worn by players, while a more affordable stadium version is designed for everyday supporters.
The jerseys will be available nationwide and online ahead of the World Cup, which kicks off on June 11 and concludes with the final on July 19.
Classic Designs Inspire Modern Look
Still, while the kits look forward, they also nod to the past. Designers drew inspiration from some of the most memorable U.S. jerseys in history.
“Updating something that is recognizable is our way of honoring the past but still creating something new,”
said color designer Natalie McKeough.
Among the key influences is the iconic 2012 “Waldo” kit, along with the bold striped look worn during the 1994 World Cup. Both styles helped shape the identity of this latest release, connecting past and present in one unified design.
